Consumers in Cambridge will be seeing a change in their local Lakeland store as the kitchenware retailer looks to overhaul its window displays across the country. The retailer is looking to reinvigorate their window displays and point of sale display materials along the themes of ‘home baking’ and ‘grow your own’, which are felt to reflect the current trends in these difficult times.
Lakeland is working with the agency, Gratterpalm, to develop their new point of sale and window display materials. Tomatoes have been given a boost after some flyer printing in Cambridge by Greenery UK meant that recipe leaflets were distributed to tomato lovers with fresh ideas on how to encourage them to use tomatoes in their cooking.
Greenery UK is a fruit and vegetable supplier that celebrated British Tomato Week by distributing sustainably grown tomatoes produced by one of their company’s own tomato growers. Billboards make a statement for Cambridge estate agent

This summer in Cambridge will see two giant 48 sheet billboards displaying the new branding of local independent estate agent TuckerGardner. The estate agents, to mark their 21 years in sales and letting and to reposition themselves and their brand in the marketplace, had tasked Cambridge based Mobas to create a campaign to evolve their brand identity for the present day. This will culminate in the unveiling of posters on two of Cambridge’s most prominent billboards around the city. Digital finishing event in Cambridge

There are many printing companies in Cambridge who are now involved with digital print technology, for example, brochure printing firms or stationery printers. There is a digital finishing exhibition taking place in March which should be of interest to Cambridge printing companies.
The exhibition is organised by Duplo International and will take place at Xerox supplier First Copy’s site in the city on 9-10 March. It follows on from Duplo’s London Calling and Digital North events.

Printing companies around Cambridge will be seeking new sustainable markets, as business rides out the recession. This will be true for smaller firms offering

Cambridge print company acquired by BPC

Last year a Cambridge printing company, Burlington Press, went into administration and was acquired by another Cambridge based print firm, Bluepoint Cambridge.
Administrators, Tenon Recovery, were called in to oversee the administration. Tenon’s case administrator, James Prior, said:
“We are trading the business with a view to selling it as a going concern. We are hoping to reach a conclusion in the next week, but there have been a number of expressions of interest.”
